Bakery in Cluny

Walk....

Food à cluny ou Salornay sur Guye

Netto, Carrefour Market and Bi1 for supermarkets, full of small shops of excellent quality inside the city.

I recommend the Roux butcher for its excellent meat which comes from local producers as well as its charcuterie.

Bionali is an organic grossery juste next to "Le pain sur la table" (organic restaurant and bakery.

You have the unmissable Germain chocolate factory and pastry shop,

we also love the desserts from Canedi.

For bread, we are more for organic bread on "Le Pain sur la table" or at  "La Ferme Saint Laurent" on Thursday afternoons or Saturday mornings on the market.(http://fermesaintlaurent.com).

If you have the opportunity to go to the Saturday morning market, you will find excellent producers, organic or not, take away meals (Chinese, Tibetan, Greek ....). I recommend the organic vegetable and bread stand of La Ferme Saint Laure (http://fermesaintlaurent.com), the organic goat cheeses, the organic charcuterie and pork from Zirudéla, the Dutch cheeses from Suus and Paula (https : //www.fromagehollandais.fr), there is also Honey, smoked salmon, and organic fish (http://www.lesviviersdumoulin.fr/le-moulin). I can't give you all of them.

It is a fairly large and very diverse market.

One day trip

Day trip:

Departure from the gîte by car for Chapaize (have look inside and outside of the Roman church), continue the road to Brancion (visit the village, go to the Church to visit it and see the magnificent panorama, visit the castle).

Depending on the time of day you can eat at the restaurant Le Relais d'Ozenay (https://www.le-relais-dozenay.com - book in advance) or otherwise go up to Tournus where you will have a wide choice of restaurations.

Spend the afternoon visiting the Abbey of Saint ¨Philibert, the cloister, strolling through the old streets.

Return via the col des chèvres or via Ozenay (a glimpse of the magnificent 12th century chêteau) and if you still have the time and energy, visit the gardens of the Château de Cormatin (however, you have to allow 2 hours to go around).
